The college is currently running a registered Nursing and Midwifery programme, with an annual intake of up to 70 registered nursing students and 30 midwifery students. The programmes are divided into classroom theory underlined and reinforced by appropriate practical training. A large part of training is allocated to practical experience within the clinical area of the hospital as well as other health centers and hospitals within the country that offer specialties that are not offered at Chikankata Mission Hospital. The duration for the whole course is 3 years.
The college offers two programmes;
- Registered Nursing: a three-year course, Diploma in registered Nursing.
- Registered Midwifery: a one-year course, certificate in Registered Nursing
Upon graduation, graduates are posted to places of work in the government under the Ministry of Health, while others may find themselves working within private health institutions.
