Registered Nursing Requirements

Grade twelve (12) school leaver with credits or better in Mathematic, English, Science being compulsory and any two (2) subjects at credit or better.

Prospective candidates start by first applying to the college with a hand written application letter. These are normally both male and female, grade twelve school leavers.

When the candidates meet the required entry level, they are sent an application form which they have to fill in and send back to the college. Alternatively applicants can purchase the form from the college upon presenting relevant documents (grade twelve results and NRC).

Candidates who meet the entry requirements are subjected to an interview, which is in two parts.

  • The aptitude test conducted by the Ministry of Labour

  • Oral interviews conducted by the college.

Selection will be done by the college after compiling the aptitude results, oral interview results and grade twelve results.

Registered Midwifery Requirements

These are registered Nurses who have been in service for at least two (2) years. They apply to the college with a hand-written letter.

Candidates will sit for an oral interview and a professional test for selection to be effected.

Number of Students enrolled per year:

  • Registered Nurses: an average of 60 students per year. Total number of RN students is 180 for the three intakes.

  • Registered Midwifery programme has an average of 25 students per year.
