One of the important messages in Hebrews is that the sacrifice that Jesus made was for everyone and forever. Before Jesus came to Earth, the Jewish people had to sacrifice animals before they could come and worship God—this was a way of paying for the wrong things they had done—and they had to do this every time! But the sacrifice Jesus made was enough to pay forever for the wrong choices we have made. Isn’t that amazing!
When you believe in something you can’t see it can be called faith. Christians have faith in God—we can’t see God but we believe he is with us always and active in our world. Hearing stories of others who had great faith can strengthen and encourage our own faith. In Hebrews, we can read about a lot of different people who had great faith in God and saw amazing things happen because of how they followed him.
Wow! What a lot of stories about people who had great faith in God. Hearing stories like these can strengthen and encourage our own faith. You might like to look more closely at one of these stories, then share with your family or friends at church what some of the amazing things were that happened because of these peoples’ faith:

· Daniel in the lions’ den – Daniel chapter 6
