The story so far

Paul communicated lots to the people of Corinth about the struggles they were having and how they should go about living day to day. We have just explored together what Paul had to tell them about how each person had certain ‘spiritual’ gifts to help contribute to the building of God’s Kingdom. I wonder what gifts God has given you.

With lots of struggles and unwise choices happening everywhere around you, it can be difficult to always speak to and treat each other the best. Paul wrote to the church at Corinth about love and how important it is to have love for others. You might remember reading together the story of the good Samaritan and the most important commandment to love each other; this reminds us how we need to love and treat others. Remember to think about how you would like to be loved and cared for when you speak or behave with others. Let’s look at what Paul has to say about love!

What do I read

1 Corinthians 13:1–13

What do I think say or create

As people who receive such amazing love from our wonderful God, it is important to show that love to others. What stood out to you in the love passage? There are some amazing words and phrases used in these verses.

On some paper (perhaps with the help of an adult), write some large bubble/outline letters of the word ‘love’. Inside the four letters of the word, write or draw the following things: the people that you love, things that remind you of love, what you love about God, and what love looks like for you.
