Children's Challenge: Week 19

So Jesus was taken up to heaven and he promised that after he had gone he would send the Holy Spirit to be a helper, a comforter and a friend to those that were followers of Jesus. After Jesus had gone, the disciples spent time together praying and working out who would replace Judas, the disciple who betrayed Jesus and handed him over to the authorities.
The main temple for the Jewish people was in Jerusalem and, at this time of year, a celebration called ‘Pentecost’ or the ‘Festival of Weeks’ was happening. So there were already crowds of people in the city from all over Israel when the following events happened and the Holy Spirit came, let’s have a look together.
