Impact of Covid-19 on Partnerships for the Goals

COVID-19 & Justice

SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals aims to revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development. The other 16 SDGs risk remaining only hopes and dreams of a few unless SDG17 is achieved. God's way of bringing about justice has been through partnerships: through people and individuals found at various levels of society, speaking out, becoming actors, often being countercultural. It is His world, and we are connected to others, responsible for one another's well‐being.

COVID-19 has acted as a wake-up call to the importance of multilateralism and global partnerships in combatting global challenges. The Sustainable Development Goals provide a framework for the world to recover from the pandemic in a better state than it was before. Everyone can play a part - from developed countries partnering with developing countries to individuals standing up for vulnerable populations. We all have a role to play in the recovery of the world.
