Go and Do Something is a resource from the International Social Justice Commission based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is full of practical ideas for action, prayer points and facts, for people of all ages who want to 'go and do something' to make the world a better place today.
There are 17 topics, including focusses on poverty, hunger, health, education, the environment, inequalities, development and consumption. There is one for each of the United Nations 17 SDGs.
There are many ways to use this resource.
- Make time to read and reflect on one of the SDGs each day for the next 17 days and commit to 17 new ways you will change the way you act or think.
- Discuss one of the chapters each week with other people. This could be in a Sunday School class, women’s meeting, during a music group practice, or in a Bible Study group.
- Teachers can use this material in schools, particularly in a setting of group discussion or for project ideas.
- Preachers can use this resource to inspire a sermon series on how people should live faithfully in the world today.
