Personnel Administration Department looks after the personnel involved in the ministries of The Salvation Army and coordinates the work for their development with the Leadership. It ensures the consistent achievement of physical and spiritual wellbeing for the accomplishment of the Army’s fundamental purpose of proclaiming Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. This purpose must find expression in both the message proclaimed and the ministry of service performed. The key responsibilities are summarized below:

1.Candidates: Personnel Administration Department has the responsibility relating to candidates and the work is delegated to Candidate Secretary. Recruitment, preparation and training are organized on a regular basis as per the recruitments of Candidateship. Also encourage the Junior Soldiers and Youth for future leaders as Officers of The Salvation Army.

2.Cadets: Acceptance process, welcome event and commissioning event of Cadets are kept in place under Territorial Leadership and in a timely manner with a good working relationship with the Training Principal. Help them grow in both physical and spiritual development in their journey of Cadetship.

3.Officers: Commissioning and ordination, further studies-Brengle, Conferences and training, Discipline and review, health and well being, long service order, retirement, Pastoral care, promotions to glory, the Territorial Leaders gives appropriate responsibilities to Personnel Administration Department as per the requisites.

4.Employees: Personnel Administration Department ensures that modern practice is in place and employees are equipped to generate their upmost efficiency. Training is imparted to lift their level of competency and performance and ensure that fair and equitable management systems are in place. Appropriate health care provisions and Pastoral care is imparted to employees.

5.Statistics: Updated Form A and Form R are annually prepared at the year-end for submission to IHQ.
