WRITERS WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN OFFICERS, ICT

The Program Administrative department organized a Writers Workshop for women officers from 28th to 30th November 2019, under the theme “Write the vision of God” at HRD Center in Chennai.

The Program was commenced with Morning devotion by Lt. Colonel M. Mercy Manjula, THLS. Lt. Colonel Yaqoob Masih, Chief Secretary inaugurated the workshop. Lt. Colonel Sumitra Masih, TSWM Greeted all the delegates and encouraged them by stating sum Rules and Formats of Writing.  The Chief Secretary shred a message “Write the Vision of God” based on the text Rev 1: 1-3. In his message he described about some writing skills. Lt. Colonel Y. Manoharan Secretary for Business Administration dealt a topic “Writing for the Glory of God”.  Followed by Major C. Dani Samuel Raju, Editor, he explained about the importance of using “Writing tools” and taught a subject Reading-Research-Rewriting. Lt. Colonel K. Y. Dhana Kumar, Secretary for Personnel gave a lecture on “Principles of Christian Writings”.

The Second day was started with Morning devotion by Major O. Philip Raju, Financial Secretary. A lecture on “Goal setting in Writings” and “Writing skills” was given by Rev. Dr. K. H. Benjamin guest lecturer followed by Rev. P. Y. Ratnam gave a lecture on “Communications” and “Women & Print Media” these topics were inspired all the delegates. Lt. Colonel Sumitra Masih gave lecture on “How to Empower Women through our Writings” the practical work was very much interesting, and final lecture by the Editor was “Army Terminology”.

Final day Morning devotion led by Major C. Sudha Rani,  Junior Home League Secretary and the session was started with Lt. Colonel M. Abraham Lincoln, Secretary for Program's lecture “How a writer can use Technology? Its importance in this present world”.   The Final lecture of Commissioner Prema Wilfred, TPWM was “Why Christian Writings? The Role of Women Officers in writing Ministry”, by her lecture she inspired all the delegates to write articles. Through this workshop delegates understood the importance of writings in our ministry. Workshop was concluded with spiritual meeting by  Commissioner Wilfred Varughese, Territorial Commander gave message on “Judge Deborah”, and Chief Secretary led the meeting in a spiritual way. Delegates shared their valuable reflections on what they learned in these three days. After that Commissioner Prema Wilfred, TPWM encouraged all the delegates with brief exhortation. Territorial Leaders presented certificates to all the delegates and resource persons. When the appeal has given by the leader all the delegates rededicated their faith at Mercy seat. Finally, the Editor expressed his vote of thanks to all, and gratitude to God. Workshop was conducted in a meaningful way.

First day evening visiting of St. Thomas tomb, and Marina Beach, second day evening Cultural activities were given refreshment and happy fellowship to all the delegates.
