WOMEN'S MINISTRIES SPIRITUAL RETREAT - IWT

Spiritual Retreat was held at Red Shield Guest House in Mumbai on 13thand 14th September 2019 for selected Captains. Colonel Mani Kumari, Secretary for Women Development had been invited as the Chief Guest. 30 delegates attended the Retreat.

The Following subjects were shared in the retreat:

Personal Spiritual Growth: Colonel Mani Kumari explained the growth of a person – Physical, Mental, Educational and Spiritual Growth. She also gave some illustrations: Roof-Aim high, Window - Vision, clock –Manage the time, fan – be Cool, mirror –transparency, etc.

Spiritual growth of a Church:  It was shared by Colonel Mani Kumari.  What the Bible says about the growth of the congregation (Acts 2:42) Deep connection with spiritual matters - constant prayer, brotherly love, daily service, service and praise of God.

Mercy Seat Counseling: Lieutenant Colonel Ropari, TSWM shared about the importance of the Mercy Seat in the Salvation Army and how can we communicate and counsel the people those who come at the Mercy Seat.

Role of Women in Church: Comm. Sumita Masih TPWM shared this subject. Mark 16:1 Women must develop in their knowledge, skill and in Attitude.

Fasting Prayer: In this, Lieutenant Colonel Kezial shared the importance of fasting, various kinds of fasting, Benefits of fasting. She explained with various references from the Bible.

Capacity Development: Major Sanjivani  Dushing  shared an exercise and through that the delegates learned the following: How can we develop our Corps with the available resources, to achieve our goal,  how important to have the communication with our comrades and how much important to involve and be ready to help others, and overall how Teamwork needs to work in making the project success and to achieve the goal.

Domestic Violence: Colonel Mani Kumari Dasari shared this subject is Domestic violence, how it happens, and different ways of Domestic violence. She explained that children (Girls and Boys) Women and Old people become victims of Domestic Violence.
Group Discussions, Quiz, made easy to understand clearly. Finally, Commissioner Sumitha Masih TPWM conducted Spiritual meeting and shared the word of God from Psalms 107:6&7 'Be strong and Courageous'.

Commissioner Sumitha Masih TPWM inaugurated this retreat by lighting a lamp and welcomed all the delegates, Lieutenant Colonel Ratnamala Randive, THLS (M) and Lieutenant Colonel Sunitha Mecwan, THLS (G) led the morning devotions on 13th and 14threspectively. Following that Colonel Mani Kumari had taken the Bible Studies – Gift of God's grace (Ephesians 1:1-10) and God's Masterpiece (1 Samuel 25:1-34).

We praise and thank God and the leaders for arranging “Spiritual Retreat”, all the delegates were benefited and blessed through this Spiritual Retreat.
