On 25th November 2017, Soldiership Renewal Orientation Class was conducted by Divisional Leaders Majors P. John William and Ratnasundari for all Officers of the Division to enhance their knowledge about the Army standards. 25 Officers attended this class. Officers were divided into three groups to discuss about the topic “Are our members in corps are soldiers or spectators?” All of them shared their opinions about the present corps situation. With different perspectives all came to know how important it is to choose a soldier.
In afternoon session mission statement of The Salvation Army was clearly explained by Divisional Commander. Furthermore, topics that dealt were 1.The Salvation Army structure 2.The Salvation Army Symbols 3.The Doctrines and 4. Soldiers Covenant. Through these lectures all officers were inspired to conduct soldier orientation classes in every corps during the month of December 2017.
Each topic has its own prominence in enlighten the officers to learn more about their responsibilities in strengthening the corps. It was helpful and useful class to gain knowledge on chosen to be a soldier book.
All officers anticipated to conduct soldiers' renewal day on 7th January 2018
