The Officers' Review Seminar arranged on 19 April 2017 at HRD Center, Trivandrum for the officers those who have completed 5, 15, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of services respectively.
The auspicious occasion was started with the devotion by Lieut. Colonel K. M. Gabriel, Secretary for Business Administration. 'What is Our Mission', Colonel Nihal Hettiarachchi, Territorial Commander detailed the importance of the Ministry which every officer is doing in their turn, and he said it while who was inaugurating the seminar.
The next session was led by Lieut. Colonel Vanlalfela, Chief Secretary who shared about the 'Leadership & Obedience'. The review for 5 & 15 years was conducted by Lieut. Colonel K. M. Solomon, Secretary for Personnel, Lieut. Colonel S. P. Simon, Secretary for Programmes and Major O. P. John, HRD Secretary. It was a different experience to the officers and they had good opportunity to evaluate themselves as well. The officers have shared their ministerial and family experiences. The closing session led by the Personnel Secretary and the message was delivered by the Territorial Commander. Colonel emphasised the 'journey of Abraham with faith' and he exhorted the officers to go with faith and commitment. When the Chief Secretary led the closing song, all officers have rededicated themselves for the mission of God and the Salvation Army. The leaders have presented the Certificates and Long Service Order badges to the officers according to the years of their services.
During the seminar, the pre- retirement orientation was held for the officers who are going to retire from their active service. That was led by the Chief Secretary. The review seminar has renewed the officers spiritually those who have attended from various places in the Territory.
