New year starts with great blessing for the India Central Territory on 7th January 2019 when Commissioners Wilfred Varghese and Prema Wilfred was installed as a new Territorial Leaders at Youth Convention Centre, Nellore.
In presence of all officers, soldiers and friends, the installation service was conducted by the retired Commissioners P. Devavaram and P. Victoria Devavaram and supported by Lieutenant Colonel Yaqoob Masih, Chief Secretary. On behalf of congregation Lieutenant Colonel M. Abraham Lincoln, Secretary for Programme Administration was welcomed the new Leaders with gratitude. In the opening session, the meeting started with the song “All hail the power of Jesus” led by Major P. John William, Divisional Commander of Chennai Division and special prayer was done by the Lieutenant Colonel Sumitra Masih, TSWM and Major I. D. Ebenezer, Divisional Commander of Vijayawada Division. Meeting continued with installation of new Territorial Leaders by Commissioner P. Devavaram and dedicatory prayer offered by Commissioner P. Victoria Devavaram. Followed by the welcome song presented by the THQ women officers and during the song new Territorial leaders were honoured with shawls, garlands, traditional maharaja turban, bouquets etc. Officers and soldiers from Nellore division and Principal of Training college welcomed the new Territorial Leaders with flowers and the traditional cultural dance performed by the home league members of Kodurupadu corps and Youth of Rebala Corps.
During this meeting the special song was arranged by Cadets of the Training College. In her response, newly appointed TPWM conveyed her special thank to all for their grand welcome. She added that it is a great privilege to work with the people. She continued, in the present world women are not least, but they are strong in every aspects. She requested everyone to extend the support for the women ministry. She also expressed her sincere thanks towards previous Territorial Commander and TPWM, Commissioner Lalngaihawmi for her great work in the territory. With renewed sprit newly appointed Territorial Commander delivered the message based on 'DREAM DREAMS' from Genesis 28: 10 – 22 where he emphasised about Jacob's dream, he challenged all to dream about the future of the Territory and its ministries. He strengthened everyone through the deep biblical exhortation and quoted, “Everyone should dream for the future, corps, divisions, institutions as well as for the territory”. He was requested all for their cooperation and support in coming days. Territorial Commander expressed his thankfulness to the General, retired Commissioners, Chief Secretary, Divisional Commander of Nellore and all the people who have arranged this meeting.
Finally, Lieutenant Colonel Y. Manoharan, Secretary for Business Administration led the song “I am thine O Lord” and invited the congregation for alter call. 78 Officers and soldiers came forward to the Mercy Seat and dedicated themselves. Territorial Commander concluded this meeting with prayer and benediction and vote of thanks was expressed by Major MPCH Prasad, Divisional Commander of Nellore Division. Everyone praised and thanked to God for the wonderful leaders of their Territory.
