Covenant, Ordination, Commissioning, Graduation and Appointments

Cadets' Commissioning is one of the significant events in The Salvation Army in which cadets passes through four important stapes 1. Covenant 2. Commissioning & Ordination 3. Graduation 4. Appointments.
The event took place at Training College Prayer hall, Ahmednagar commenced with Covenant of cadets on Saturday 22 April 2017 at 4.00 p.m. in the presence of THQ leaders, Cabinet Secretaries, HRDI & executive officers.
Covenant Day: Commissioner M. C. James, the Territorial Commander shared brief about importance of covenant day & challenged the cadets to commit their life for the ministry of God. Majors Kusum Tribhuwan, DDWM, Ahmednagar Division and Ashok Mandgule, DC, Pathardi Division shared their experience of many years in the Salvation Army officership that encouraged the cadets.
Covenant is important because this is first step of officership, said the Territorial Commander with reference from Hebrew 9:11-15. He gave seven important steps of ministry. 1. proclaim the Gospel 2. Whole life loves the God & serve to Him 3. each officer's main motto should be win souls & teach salvation 4. serve the poor & orphans 5. teach the people doctrine of the Salvation Army 6. Follow the doctrine of The Salvation Army 7. prove ourselves as highest quality of officer.
Lastly, all officers prayed together to support to Cadets' Commitment. During the last song Cadets signed on their Covenants. Commissioner Susamma James TPWM concluded the service with prayer & benediction.
Commissioning & Ordination service: Next day, the service started with song led by Lieut. Colonel G. Pathare, Secretary for Programme in Shirley Miller Hall, E.B. Hospital where Cadets' relatives, soldiers & officers were gathered for this special service. Cadets' & staff marched & salute the Territorial Commander with respect. After the welcome, Major B. Hiwale handed over the Cadets' to the Territorial Commander & presented two-year brief report of the session "Joyful Intercessors".
After the affirmation of faith uttered by Cadets, they were ordained & Commissioned by the Territorial Commander Commissioner M. C. James with dedicatory prayer and delivered the message from Matthew 10:5-10. Commissioner encouraged them by saying, 'you are chosen by God therefore do not fear the world; do your service, God is always with you.'
Graduation & Appointment service: Lieut. Colonel B. Randive, Secretary for Personnel, welcomed the New Lieutenants in the beginning of the service. While presenting Silver Star and certificates to the parents of Lieutenants, Commissioner Susamma James, TPWM thanked them & appreciated their sacrifices of their son or daughter. Afterwards, Major Y. Manoharan, HRDI gave brief introduction of Asian Theologian Association &. B.Th Degree as well as thanked God for achievement of new officers. The Certificate of B.Th. Degree given by the Territorial Commander to new graduates.
Prior to appointments given, Commissioner shared message from 2Timothy 4:1-5 about get ready to proclaim the Gospel. The Territorial Commander closed the event with prayer & benediction.
