Covenant, Ordination, Commissioning, Graduation and Appointments
GUJARAT, INDIA WESTERN TERRITORY
"Joyful Intercessors" session 2015-2017 cadets' covenant, ordination, graduation and appointments sacred ceremonies held at Booth Tucker Church, Anand Central Corps under the leadership Territorial Leaders Commissioners M.C. James and Susamma James, supported by Lieut. Colonels Joginder and Shanti Masih, CS and TSWM.
Covenant Day: The significant Day held on Saturday 29th April 2017 at 4:00pm at The Officers' Training College, Anand led by the Chief Secretary. Lieut. Colonel Rasik Christian, Secretary for Programme led the opening song, while TSWM and Major Samuel Parmar, DC Anand offered intercessory prayer. Major Ruth Macwan, DDWM, Matar and Major Yakub Macwan, DC, Nadiad shared their experiences. Earlier, Lieut. Colonel Nicolas Damor, the Training Principal welcomed the territorial leaders.
The Cadets presented special song followed by the Bible message given by the Territorial Commander based on Hebrews 9:11-15 reminding the cadets to have firm faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer and benediction pronounced by Commissioner Susamma James, TPWM.
Ordination & Commissioning: Another important meeting held on Sunday, at Booth Tucker Church, Anand. The church was packed with officers, soldiers, band people, songsters and relatives of the cadets as well. Cadets and Training staff marched with band tune and the Territorial Commander received the salute. The Training Principal handed over 20 cadets to the Territorial Commander for ordination and commissioning and after that he presented brief sessional report. Cadets sung their sessional song led by Captain Kalpana Macwan.
Cadet Christopher Macwan shared his testimony that how God called him into His service followed by affirmation of faith recited publically by the cadets. After that, the Territorial Commander ordained and commissioned them as Officers of The Salvation Army.
The new officers presented their dedication song then Commissioner offered dedicatory prayer for 20 new officers. The Territorial Commander, through the message, encouraged the new officers and congregations to serve the Lord faithfully and be prepared to face sufferings as they work for the extension of God's kingdom.
Graduation & Appointment Service: Once again, the meeting commenced with March and salute to the Territorial Commander by new officers on Sunday evening. Lieut. Colonel Jashvant Macwan, Secretary for Personnel welcomed the new officers with flowers. Lieutenant Sharon Taviad shared her testimony about how God has taken care of her after her father's death, during her childhood and, how she entered the training college to become Officer of The Salvation Army. Lieutenant Dorothy Macwan gave valedictory speech.
TPWM presented order of the Silver Star to new Lieutenants' parents, supported by TSWM and Major Smita Macwan, Territorial Silver Star Secretary. TPWM prayed for the parents. Commissioner MC James, Territorial Commander gave Bachelorette of Theology certificates to all whom successfully completed the course and graduated them.
Commissioner gave charge to the new Lieutenants from the words of God encouraging them to serve the Almighty God and preaching gospels of Jesus Christ to unreached places. Appointments were given to the new Lieutenants for extension of God's kingdom. Commissioner concluded the event with prayer and benediction. Eventually, Training Principal gave vote of thanks. Divisional Commanders and Hospital Administrator took part to lead song and prayers. All glory to Jesus Christ.
