We praise and thank God for Blessed and successful Territorial level Bible Oratorical Contest held on Sunday 27th October, 2019 at Bethel Corps – Petlad Division with Support of Major Jayantilal Macwan Divisional Commander, DHQ staff and local officers. The Contest was based on the Theme “Living in Christ” (Colossians 2:6,7) Approximately 150 people including 26 Participants along with their parents,
well-wishers, Divisional Youth Secretary and officers were present to support and encourage the children and youth for the Contest. This year's primary section was introduced to encourage and involve the children studying in 2nd to 4th Standard.
Major Jayantilal Divisional Commander warmly welcomed all the participants, officers, Judges and congregation and handed over to Territorial Youth Secretary.
Major Sanjay Khristi - Territorial Youth secretary explained the importance of the contest, and the purpose of the Contest is to prepare children and young adult for the Salvation Army services. Also, he encouraged children and youth not to be discouraged if they do not get first prize because the greatest prize will be rewarded by our all mighty God Lord Jesus Christ. Major Sarojbai DDWM prayed for the success of the contest while Major Andrew shared about use of talents from the word of God.
As the theme of the year Living in Christ, The Primary Section Participants shared on subject “ Living in Christ by Faith” (John 3:16), The Junior Section Participants shared on “ Living in Christ by our Treasure” (Luke 12: 13-21),The intermediate section shared about “Living in Christ by using our talents (Matthew 25:14-30)The Senior Section Participants shared about “Living in Christ by return to heavenly father by real repentance” ( Luke 15:11-32) All the participants were well prepared and presented very well. This contest was very interesting and inspiring as shared by Dhirajbhai, YPSM, Bethel Corps.
