Almost 2000 Youth and Children gathered and celebrated their happiness with South Asia International Secretary and Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Commissioners Suresh Pawar, and Martha Pawar. The territorial Youth festival was conducted by the Territorial Headquarters under the program department on Saturday, 20th August 2022 at Booth Tucker memorial Church, Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu at evening 4.30 PM. Zonal Leaders were welcomed by Divisional Youth Secretaries and DWDOs with flags in the Booth Tucker Memorial Church. To celebrate this joy, Captain Viji, Territorial Youth Officer started with the song ‘Joy Joy Joy’ with music played wonderfully by Youth. Lt. Colonel Rethnam Aruldhas, Secretary for Programme Administration welcomed the Territorial Leaders Commissioners John Kumar and Mani Kumari Dasari and Lt. Colonel Lalbulliana, Chief Secretary and Lt. Colonel Lalnunhlui, Territorial Secretary for Women's Ministry and senior reserved officers. Also, he shared the vision of the Territorial Commander regarding the Mission, Music, Sports, and Career of Young people.
Territorial Commander happily introduced and welcomed the zonal leaders amid loud applause and Hallelujah chants also encouraged all the Youth and Children with his motivational speech. After the welcome dance performed by Kulasekharam Division, Miss. Miracle Christy from Katpady extension prayed and Miss. Anusha, Marthandam division shared her wonderful living testimony in front of Youth and Children. Commissioner Suresh Samuel Pawar, International Secretary inspired and shared the word of God about the life of Daniel, the young man from the Bible. When the altar call is given through the final song by Lt. Colonel Christopher Selvanath, Secretary for Business Administration, hundreds of young people dedicated themselves to the mercy seat and sought holiness. A special prayer was offered for those who came to the mercy seat.
As a reflection of Tamil culture, a wonderful and colourful variety of programs like Karagattam, Kummi, Bharatanatyam, kolattam, mime show, instrumental, timbrel, classical, and group dances were presented by youth and children from various divisions, districts, and institutions. Youth show their talents through the performance vote of thanks to the leaders and participants for their support given by Captain Arul Sasibalan, Divisional Youth Secretary, Thuckalay Division. The entire programme was hosted enthusiastically by youth with singing and music organised by Major Stephen Herbert Singh, DO, Madurai. This event was broadcasted by the India South Eastern Territory Social media YouTube channel TSACC. This effort to bring out the talents of our youth and encourage them has been a great success.
