Trivandrum – ISWT, A three- days Territorial Youth Capacity Development Programme as part of Territorial HIV/ AIDS Faith Based Facilitation Programme was conducted at Kowdiar, Trivandrum during 21-23rd of September 2012.
The inaugural function was held on 21st morning by lighting the ceremonial lamp by Shri. Anoop Jacob, Honourable Minister for Food and Civil supplies, Kerala State Government. He praised the Salvation Army' s social activities and exhorted the youths to be more aware of issues like drugs and alcoholism. Territorial Commander Commissioner Samuel Charan chaired the function.

The topics, 'Jesus, the excellent Community Reformer', 'Trainer and Motivational Speaker beyond the Horizon', 'Make the Challenges', 'the Role of the Salvation Army Youth in this changing society', 'Youth and the age of Dynamism', 'Personality Transformation and Winning Strategies', 'Open the Mind' - an interaction with a Psychologist, 'Role and Relevance of Social Service in the Salvation Army', 'Be a True Salvationist', and 'Relevance of Faith Based Facilitation' that were respectively assigned to Lieut-Colonel Chelliah Mony, Chief Secretary, Shri.Appu Joseph Chacko, Shri John V. Samuel, Deputy Collector, Major O. P. John, Territorial Youth Secretary, Professor Sicily Thomson, Shri. Rajan Panickar IA&AS, Dr. T. Sagar, MBBS,DPM, MPH, Mr. Ebenezer Isac, Mr. Anish Mathew, and Mr. Anilkumar Billd, were well discussed.
Scriptural insights were scratched by Lieut-Colonel John Suseel Kumar, Secretary for Personnel Administration, Lieut-Colonel K. M. Solomon, Secretary for Programme Administration, Major Jacob George, Territorial Prayer Cell and Church Growth Secretary and Mr. Wilfred George, Corps Sergeant Major. Lieut-Colonel K. M. Gabriel, Secretary for Business Administration took the lead of final meeting and Rev. Fr. Prakash Tennyson spoke on scripture.
Dr. Gabriel Mar Gregorious Metropolitan, Arch Bishop Malankara Orthodox Church brought his blessings to the inaugural functions.
Colonel C. S. Samuel (Rtd.), Mr. C. Shaji, Principal, the Salvation Army Higher Secondary School, and Major S. Babu, Guest House Manager were also the part of the meetings.
