Anand – IWT, The Salvation Army Emery Hospital is rendering the dental services to the needy people of Anand and its surroundings at a very reasonable and affordable rates.
The dental department was started with the kind support of Hon. Justice S. D. Dave, Former Judge - High Court, Gujarat in fond memory of his wife, late Tarlika Suhrid Dave, nearly six years ago. He is a hindu Brahmin, graduated from Sardar Patel University - Vallabh Vidyanagar. He had started his career as an advocate from Anand and later served as District Judge at various district courts of Gujarat like Himmatnagar, Jamnagar, Rajkot and Vadodara. He was appointed as the judge at the High Court of Gujarat. He and his family members are the well wishers of our hospital and help the hospital many a times even for the people living with HIV.
He had donated a dental chair, equipments and the renovation cost of the premises etc. It was highly necessary to replace the dental chair with a new one as it incurs frequent repairs increasing the maintenance cost. Recently, at his courtesy he visited our hospital; this matter was shared. He, very generously and happily told that he would donate the amount for the replacement of the present dental chair with a new one.
The new dental chair was installed in place of the old and a thanksgiving prayer was offered on 4th November 2012. Major Jashwant S. Chauhan, Administrator prayed for the dedication of the chair and for the Honourable Justice S. D. Dave's family as well.
Justice Dave handed over the cheque for Rs. 88,000/- to the Administrator. Captain Dinesh B. Macwan, Business Manager gave vote of thanks to the Donor family.
