The Tour of East London and the burial location of General William and Catherine Booth, and other Salvation Army early leaders.

ICO 070
Colonel Alex Morrice was our guide for the East End of London tour.  Prior to entering the Apney Park cemetery he briefly explains The Salvation Army early beginnings and paints the picture for us as to what the East End of London would have been like on the day of William Booth's funeral.

Col. Mariamma Davidson (India South Western).  This was a very emotional visit for these delegates and they were all very conscious of the fact that had it not been for Booth Tucker, they would not be here.

The visit to the Blind Beggar Pub was made in the rain, so we did not linger too long.

Photo opportunities were given again at the statue of William Booth.  Following this we made our way to the Quaker Burial ground - a very clean piece of land in a very overpopulated area of the East End.

The day was very interesting, but due to the rain we did not stay too long in any one place.  We met under the cover of Booth House where we had opportunity to meet members of the Centre Management team prior to our walk around tour of the Blind Beggar Pub, William Booth statue and the Quaker Burial ground.
