Welcome & Worship

The 205 ICO session is an exciting and contagious session. Lt. Colonel Richard Munn presented the session with our sessional name: "Victorious Session," inspired by Psalm 20:5 "We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests." With that the session brought a few firsts:

How appropriate the "Victorious Session" was challenged by Lieut. Colonel Janet Munn in our first evening with "Seasons of Change" with delegates arriving safely ahead of the Iceland Ashes. We were welcome to what the UK would call unseasonably warm weather. However, many of us were grateful to Denise Hawk from USA Western who provided hand croched scarves. |
Groups of delegates visited three different churches for worship services on Sunday evening. This group went to All Souls, Langham Place based in the west end of London; who's mission is: Growing an international community to reach a multi-cultural society for Christ. | |

WELCOME CHIEF OF STAFF | ||
![]() | Well mannered, polite and dedicated to their calling, were words expressed by Commissioner Lalkiamlova in the IHQ greeting describing Commissioners Barry and Sue Swanson. Already knowing how to drive on the left side and knowing how to put out the rubbish correctly makes our transition a little smoother than before, shared Commissioner Sue Swanson, World Secretary for Women's ministry. Yet, more importantly will be the focus for women world wide, both in and out of The Salvation Army. Striving to be a role model for equality and spirituality...for such a time as this. The Chief shared from Galatians 5:6...the only thing is faith expressing itself through love. His personal mission was stated as, spreading the gospel world-wide from his platform as Chief of the Staff. | ![]() |

Session 205 traveled to the seaside towns of Poole and Branksome to participate in a weekend of special meetings. We enjoyed fun, food, fellowship and a wonderful moving of the Holy Spirit on this weekend observance of Pentecost. |

Our third visit to IHQ, this time to conduct morning prayers, meet with our zonal departments and tour IHQ. We also visited St. Paul's Cathedral.
