Commissioner Kenneth Hodder (International Secretary for Personnel and Legal advisor to the General) in a relaxed and involved session broke down the Legal and Constitutional Issues of The Salvation Army. From Boards, councils to trustees; High Council verses Leader Councils and Discipline of Officers as it relates to ORB (Officers Review Board.)

The structure and operation of the High Council was outline from its history to its completions. What was very apparent was the emphasis of prayer and the working of the Holy Spirit through out the process.

The discipline and fair treatment of officers was a key area of dialogue. So much so, Commissioner Hodder is willing to consider a session which focuses on the discipline of officers as part of his future ICO lecture.

Salvationis Spirituality and Sacramental Living

Today Principal Richard taught on Salvationist Spirituality and Sacramental Living. Interesting and important subject! We live in different contexts and have different challenges, but we will all surely explore this further as we go on live our sacramental lives as we hope more people will eat the Living Bread! HOLINESS IS ALL I LONG FOR!

Lieut Colonel Ian Barr brought a series of classes on the doctrine and experience of holiness. Combining humor with deep insights from Scripture and life and ministry experiences Colonel Barr gave an overview of the concept of holiness in the Old and New Testaments. He also explored its theological development and the connections between the doctrines of holiness, atonement and the work of the Holy Spirit. Delegates had opportunity to engage in discussion around these themes from their own cultural and ministry perspectives. Chris Faragher
