ABOUT US
Command Mission Statement, Vision and Values
Command Mission Statement
To live and share the Gospel, to disciple believers and to address human need without discrimination
Vision
All peoples united in Christ, acting justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God
Values
Values are what we stand for and the people we want to be when implementing this plan. We have agreed previously that The Salvation Army embraces its Christian identity rooted in gospel values and we, as officers, soldiers and staff, engage with the whole person in community (i.e. physically, mentally, spiritually, socially and economically) towards fullness of life. In aiming at this overarching strategy we will be people who are compassionate, mission focussed, relational, pioneering, faithful and inclusive.
This is what we commit to as an organization, a church and as individuals during the implementation of this plan and in our everyday lives:
Compassionate: we provide loving and holistic programmes
Mission focused: we share Jesus in word and action
Relational: we get alongside people and get to know them, becoming a genuine part of the communities where we find ourselves, we good partners in our community development work and continually look to grow our relationship with God
Pioneering: we try new things, ask questions, capture learning and embrace innovation in all aspects of our work
Faithful: we remain committed for the long-haul even when things gets difficult and continually value our heritage as an authentic, evolving tradition.
Inclusive: we value everyone and welcome all to find a place to belong in our worship, fellowship and ministry of The Salvation Army in Bangladesh.
