Whole World MobilisingGENERAL André Cox is inviting the worldwide Salvation Army to join together for the Whole World Mobilising Celebration on Sunday 8 October 2017. A full day of events will recognise much of what is taking place around the world as Salvationists and friends mobilise, taking their faith, witness, flag and passion onto the streets, offering people the opportunity to know the love of Jesus.

The international celebration will take place at Regent Hall Corps (church) in the heart of London (United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland). The three main sessions (two meetings and one march/open-air meeting) will all be live-streamed so the whole world can be part of the celebration.

The meetings will show inspiring stories from all corners of the globe, gathered from each of the Army’s five zones. Festivities will be led by the General, Commissioner Silvia Cox (World President of Women's Ministries), the Chief of the Staff (Commissioner Brian Peddle), Commissioner Rosalie Peddle (World Secretary for Women's Ministries) and The Whole World Mobilising team.

The live stream will start at 11am (BST) with a holiness meeting, followed by a march of witness at 1.45pm leading to an open-air meeting at Piccadilly Circus, London’s famous junction in the West End. The open-air meeting, led by the Chief of the Staff, will feature a range of creative worship expressions, including brass, song from male vocal quartet FourHymn and W1 Community Gospel Choir, and dance.

The celebration meeting – also live-streamed – begins at 3pm and will be led by the General. It will feature Konverse (a dance group), the Bill Booth Theater Company (USA Central Territory), the Regent Hall music sections, and videos and testimonies from around the world.

The Whole World Mobilising Project Manager Ester Ellen Nelson says: ‘Groups at IHQ and Regent Hall have spent the last few months preparing for this very special day. We have a full day of celebration planned, with inspiring stories, outreach and beautiful music and dance – all in response to YOU and the fabulous ways that The Whole World Mobilising challenge has been taken up around the world! I hope you’ll take time to come and join in the festivities and outreach, in person or online. We’ll be looking for you!

The Whole World Mobilising Celebration will be live-streamed on Facebook (www.facebook.com/mobilising) and mobilising.salvationarmy.org from 11am BST (GMT+1) on Sunday 8 October.
