New Website, Facebook and Twitter Presence for General André Cox

General André Cox has started to build a significant online presence with the launch of a new website and social media accounts

PRIOR to his first official international visit (to The Salvation Army’s Australia Eastern, Indonesia and New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territories), General André Cox has started to build a significant online presence with the launch of a new website and social media accounts.

Worldwide Prayer Meeting pageHis website – www.salvationarmy.org/thegeneral – will provide up-to-date news about official engagements, as well as reports and photos from his visits to Salvation Army initiatives in the 126 countries where the Army flag flies. The Worldwide Prayer Meeting – held every Thursday – continues to be an important part of the General's site, and Salvationists and friends are encouraged to contribute their own prayers for the global mission of The Salvation Army.

The General’s website is supported by a Twitter account (@GeneralAndreCox) and – for the first time – a Facebook page.

Salvationists are encouraged to follow the General online and to share the Scriptures, reflections and updates that he posts with a wide audience. The website, Twitter account and Facebook page will give Salvationists and friends around the world the opportunity to know what the General is doing and to support him and Commissioner Silvia Cox (World President of Women's Ministries) through specific, targeted prayer.
