Advent devotional: Heart Matters

International Women's Ministries launch a devotional series for Advent, 'Heart Matters'.

But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart... (Luke 2:19)

This Advent dive into four-week devotional series, Heart Matters, produced by the international Women's Ministries section at International HeadquartersThis collection of studies takes the reader on a journey of self-reflection, centred around the stories we read of when Jesus came to earth. Each week looks at a different encounter between heaven and earth; 'Prayers and Longings - Elizabeth and Zechariah', 'Desires and Decisions - Joseph', 'Treasures and Ponderings - Mary', 'Quietness and Safe Spaces - the Shepherds', concluding with a Christmas greeting from the World President of Women's Ministries. While these studies are produced by the international Women's Ministries section, we do believe they are suitable for either individual study or group study, holding meaning and teaching for any group.

Commissioner Rosalie Peddle, World President of Women's Ministries, writes:

'The truth is that Christmas is and always has been about the hearts of others... Consider what your heart needs to be reminded of this Christmas. What are the truths you know in your head, but want to experience in your heart?'
