Under the guidance and encouragement of Territorial Leaders and support of Lieut. Colonel Rasik Christian - Secretary for Programme Administration (Gujarat) and Major Sanjay K. Khristi, TYS above seminar for Corps Cadets Guardian and YPSM was arranged in various divisions of Gujarat from 7 to 9 May, 2018.The purpose of the seminar was to regularize Corps Cadets' class and Sunday school in the territory to have good officers, local officers, soldiers and good candidates for fulltime ministry in the Salvation Army in the coming days.
In this three days seminar YPSM, Corps Cadets' Guardian, Officers, DYS and Divisional leaders were present which was arranged in Anand, Petlad, Nadiad, Matar and Ahmedabad division. The seminar was commenced with prayer, praise and worship and formal welcome led by divisional leaders then it was hand over to Lieut. Colonel Rasik Christian. He shared and encouraged participants by explaining their responsibility for Sunday school and Corps Cadets' class. He added that to sustain future Salvation Army we need to use young adults in our meeting to run the Sunday school and Corps Cadets’ class on regular basis. Major Sanjay K. Khristi shared about the Purpose, Goal and Outcomes of the Corps Cadets' class and Sunday school. He explained that Sunday school is the Heart of the Salvation Army. If we do not focus on Sunday school and Corps Cadets' class the youth and children of the Army will become weak in future. But to encourage young adult and children of the territory and to make them active we need to use them through all the activities of the Church like Corps Cadets’ class, Sunday school and various meetings of the Army.
At the end of the seminar Corps Cadets' Guardian, Corps Officers and Divisional leaders promised to conduct Corps Cadets' class and Sunday school regularly in their respective Corps/ Division.
