First of all we give thanks to Lord for His guidance and help during the Cadets' Welcome service which was held on 5th August 2018 at Bareilly Central Corps Prayer hall for “Messengers of the Kingdom” session 2018-2020. Commissioner Wilfred Varughese, Territorial Commander and Commissioner Prema Varughese, TPWM conducted the welcome service and supported by Lieut. Colonel Daniel J. Raj, Chief Secretary and Lieut. Colonel Rajam Daniel, TSWM.
At 10.00 a.m. the service commenced with the marching of training staff and cadets with the Army flag into the prayer hall where the Territorial Commander received salute from the same. The hall was later on congregated THQ leaders, training staff, cadets & officers and soldiers. The Chief Secretary offered opening prayer and led the entire service thereafter. Followed by a programme in which Candidate Secretary handed over candidates to the Territorial Commander and he accepted candidates and declared them as 1st year cadets, again he handed over cadets to Major Philip Nayak, Training Principal to train them during the two years training. Cadets were asked to recite the Army Doctrines and present a group song.
Further, TPWM explained the meaning of Army flag in detail and presented the sessional flag to the Messengers of the Kingdom session by fixing the session name in the training college flag and thereby prayed for the cadets. TSWM read the Holy Scripture from Luke 17: 22-25 which was followed the presentation of testimony by two cadets who shared about their new life in Christ.
In his message, Territorial Commander centred & focused on 'The Kingdom of God”. He explained about the concept of God's Kingdom in different religions and exposed the Biblical concept of the Kingdom of God. Commissioner also emphasised on the present kingdom and the future kingdom which entered by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as was preached by him, the King of the Kingdom of God. He challenged the cadets to be the true messengers of that Kingdom.
After the appealing song, Commissioner Samuel Charan (Rtd.) appealed the congregation in general and the cadets in particular to respond to the message to be the real messengers of the Kingdom of God. All cadets came to the Mercy Seat and rededicated their lives to God. The service was concluded with the prayer and benediction by the Territorial Commander. Earlier, THQ leaders were honoured by the training college staff and the Central Corps soldiers. Lieut. Colonel Yaqoob Masih-Secretary for Business Administration, Lieut. Colonel Tarsem Masih-Secretary for Personnel Administration, Major Suresh Masih-Editor & Education Secretary and Captain William Masih-Candidate Secretary & TYS participated in the service.
We give thanks to territorial leaders, Majors Kailash & Urmila Masih-DC & DDWM, all the active & retired officers and soldiers of Bareilly division for their participation and prayers for the Cadets & training college staff.
