20 July 2012

EACH year throughout The Salvation Army, the Sunday nearest 30 July is set aside as a day of prayer for children.

On 30 July 1880 The Salvation Army in England commenced evangelical ministry among children. This year, Sunday 29 July has been designated for this prayer day.

While every territory and command will emphasise different prayer subjects, this day links specifically with the mission priority from the International Vision Statement: 'We will reach and involve youth and children'. A poster designed by International Headquarters designer Jooles Tostevin is available here.
