TariroTHE Salvation Army's Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe has been providing vital services to the Chiweshe community for 85 years. Major Sandra Welch – Editor-in-Chief at International Headquarters (IHQ) in London but originally from South Africa – visited the hospital in late August to meet patients and staff. She heard stories of difficulties that have been faced in recent times but also witnessed scenes of tremendous dedication from staff members who take great pride in the services they offer.

Sandra's article – written for the October–December 2013 issue of All the World magazine – is available to read online.

A photo essay of images taken by Major John Murray (Communications Secretary, IHQ) is also available.
