Worldwide Salvation Army Called to Prayer

Sunday 30 September 2012 will be The Salvation Army's International Day of Prayer for Victims of Human Trafficking

SUNDAY 30 September 2012 will be The Salvation Army's International Day of Prayer for Victims of Human Trafficking. Salvation Army corps (churches) and centres around the world are encouraged to call on God through focused prayer to bring hope and freedom to the staggering number of people – up to four million – who are trafficked every year, including 1.39 million people who are currently forced to work in the sex trade.

This is the sixth year that a day has been specifically set aside to pray for the victims of trafficking. As in 2011, the Bible verse linked to the day of prayer is John 10:10: 'I have come that they may have life' (New International Version).
