Forward Europe

ALL systems are go for Forward! – The Salvation Army's Europe Congress – which takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 October. Around 1,300 Salvationists and friends from across Europe are preparing to gather for a weekend of worship and fellowship under the leadership of General Linda Bond.

Commissioner Robert Street (International Secretary for Europe) says the congress will include input 'from every territory'. He adds: 'It will be particularly significant to thank God for the exciting progress made in former communist countries over the past 20 years. The Europe Zone is rich in diverse cultures, languages and expressions of the gospel – and all within a unity of purpose that truly demonstrates One Army with One Mission, centring on One Message that speaks of God’s unqualified love for everyone in every nation.'

For anyone unable to attend in person, the main meetings will be streamed live on the congress website, with interactive live text commentary running alongside the video.

Follow @ForwardEurope on Twitter for up-to-date information about the congress. Delegates are encouraged to share their congress experiences on Twitter using the hashtag #ForwardEurope. Latest information can also be found on the congress Facebook page, which has already gathered many 'friends'.

Places at the congress can still be booked by following the instructions at www.salvationarmy.org/ihq/forwardinfo.
