Ethembeni – A Place of Hope' – A Short Documentary Produced by SAVN.TV in Partnership with the IHQ Communications Section

SAVN.TV has teamed up with IHQ Communications to produce two documentaries which will be premiered at the Boundless Film Festival in July

EthembeniSAVN.TV (Salvation Army Vision Network) – a ministry of The Salvation Army's USA Western Territory – has teamed up with the International Headquarters Communications Section to produce two documentaries which will be premiered at the Boundless Film Festival during The Salvation Army's 150th anniversary celebrations in London in July.

The feature film of the festival is Homecoming Africa, a 20-minute documentary that tells the story of General André Cox and Commissioner Silvia Cox (World President of Women's Ministries) – the Army's international leaders – as seen through the eyes of Salvationists in Zimbabwe, the General's birthplace. Shot during the 2014 Easter Congress in Gweru, Zimbabwe, Homecoming Africa is sure to be a congress crowd-pleaser. A special feature of the premiere will be Christian media authority Phil Cooke hosting a question-and-answer session with the General, supported by Guy Noland, Executive Director for SAVN.TV, and Major John Murray, IHQ Communications and Literary Secretary.

Ethembeni – A Place of Hope is a short film that captures the love, grace and empathy of this very special Salvation Army children’s home in Johannesburg, South Africa. 'It's a place of love and hope,' says Guy Noland. The film was shot on location in Johannesburg in 2014. 'Our team is very excited about the Boundless Film Festival,' Guy continues. 'It's a unique platform designed to foster creativity and concepts for sharing the Army's ministry and the gospel message.'
