General Lyndon Buckingham

General Lyndon Buckingham is the world leader of The Salvation Army.

He is the 22nd General of The Salvation Army, responsible for its ministry in 134 countries worldwide.

He took office on 3 August 2023.

Originally from New Zealand, the General is a passionate representative of The Salvation Army. In ministry partnership with his wife Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham, they lead the global Salvation Army, having served as officers since they were commissioned in 1990 as members of the Ambassadors for Christ Session.
