Korea
Responding to the requests of Korean students studying in Japan in 1907, the Founder despatched Commissioner George Scott Railton to survey prospects on the Korean peninsula. As a result, in October 1908 Colonel and Mrs Robert Hoggard (nee Annie Johns) arrived with a group of officers to 'open fire' in Seoul.
During the Korean War which took place from 25 June 1950 through to 27 July 1953, one Korean officer and one corps sergeant-major were martyred, five Salvationists were believed martyred and their names are registered as martyrs of the Korean church.
Outreach work in Mongolia officially commenced on 13 October 2008 and in the Kingdom of Cambodia on 22 November 2012.
