DIVISIONS

India Eastern Territory is divided into 7 Divisions and one District

 

1.     Central North Division : It covers the central and northern part of Aizawl District with Divisional Headquarters at Dawrpui, Aizawl. There are 58 Corps, 17 Societies and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 11560

2.     Central South Division : It covers the southern part of Aizawl District, Serchhip District and Champhai District with Divisional Headquarters at Kulikawn, Aizawl. There are 72 Corps, 17 Societies and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 13885

3.     Southern Division : It covers Lunglei District, Lawngtlai District and Saiha District with Divisional Headquarters at Lunglei. There are 24 Corps, 11 Societies and 4 Outposts and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 3070

4.     Western Division : It covers Kolasib District and Cachar Hills with Divisional Headquarters at Kolasib. There are 37 Corps, 17 Societies and 2 Outposts and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 4545

5.     Eastern Division : It covers the state of Manipur with Divisional Headquarters at Churachandpur, Manipur. There are 13 Corps, 10 Societies and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 2019

6.     Himalayan Division : It covers Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, part of West Bengal - Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Namchi, Fatapukur, the Kingdom of Bhutan and Nagaland with Divisional Headquarters at Siliguri, West Bengal. There are 11 Corps, 31 Societies and 10 Outposts and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 1754

7.     Northern Division : It covers northern parts of Mizoram with Divisional Headquarters at Darlawn, Mizoram. There are 15 Corps, 8 Societies and 1 Outpost and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 2202

8.     Tripura District : It covers Tripura with District Headquarters at Agartala, Tripura. There are 6 Corps, 35 Societies and 1 Outpost and the total number of soldiers in the Division is 1860

Nepal Extension : Our work commenced in Nepal when coupled pioneered officers Lieutenant Richard Vanlalnghaka and Lieutenant Laldinpuii were given appointment to start Army work on 18 February 2007, and our work in Nepal was officially opened on 26 April, 2009. Nepal is a THQ undertaking having 2 Corps, 1 Outpost having 77 Soldiers with Major Lalsangpuii as Extension Officer now stationed at Kathmandu.
