Robert Street has produced a gem of 365 inspirational stories and thought-provoking insights into what it is like to say ‘yes’ to God and then have a life’s adventure with and for him.
Superb at producing beautifully easy reading, he somehow combines this with profound thinking, gleaned through decades of experience and service in The Salvation Army – service that has embraced 50 countries and cultures. His love for God and people shines through, showing clearly why he regards his years of service as an immense privilege.
Photographs from all stages of his life – from schoolboy to great-grandad – include meetings with political leaders, sports stars, celebrities and people whose dedicated lives have made an impact on him. His service in community work, and as college principal, editor, divisional leader, chairman of the Salvation Army’s International Doctrine Council and as its commissioner for Europe, have added depth and understanding to all he shares.
