Creating a brighter future for individuals, families and communities throughout Sri Lanka has been a driving goal for The Salvation Army for more than 140 years. Motivated to share the love of God in Jesus Christ, we began our transformative work in Sri Lanka on 26 January 1883. Today, we bring uplift and transformation to the lives and circumstances of thousands of Sri Lankans every year through more than 70 outstations nationwide, with our headquarters in Colombo.
