The Kenya East Territory covers work in Part of Kenya as a country. The administrative headquarters is based in Nairobi. Kenya East has fourteen Divisions and Districts.
There are over 500 Salvation Army Churches. Social and Educational work caters for children with disabilities. 

 

 The major undertaking of The Salvation Army worldwide is to win souls for Christ. It does that by reaching out to people through it's corps (local churches). 

 The Army has intensified its activities, which include church planting, church growth and evangelism. Happily, all the efforts of The Salvation ArmyKenya Territory have bore fruits as many people have responded to the word of the Lord and have given their lives to Him.

The Salvation Army in Kenya East Territory is also actively involved in various work as follows:

Social Services : It runs children's homes, vocational training centres and special schools. All this has opportunity to children who would otherwise be excluded from the society. Although it is costly to run the homes and special schools, social work is of uttermost importance to The Salvation Army. Thus the social department will continue serving the community to its level best.

Editorial Department this disseminates information and uses The War Cry, a publication of The Salvation Army, to reach out to people all over the territory and beyond. The publication is a tool of evangelism and boasts a circulation of 20,000 copies every month.

Under the auspices of the Army, the sponsorship office seeks funding from local and overseas sources and all the proceeds go into sponsorship of needy children in homes and special schools.

The Sponsorship Office helps the most needy cases. The office focuses on individual cases and sponsors children drawn from broken homes, Aids orphans and the rest of the underprivileged children from the humblest backgrounds.
