Haus Krai

On 15 May there was a call for all Papua New Guineans - women and men, young and old - to attend a Haus Krai (Mourning House) organised by Women Arise PNG.

Here in New York, Mrs Susan Aisi, the wife of the Ambassador of the Papua New Guinea Permanent Mission to the United Nations,  invited Papua New Guinea women and friends to show support to this event. It was held at the Papua New Guinea Pernanment Mission to the United Nations at 12pm. There was a moment of silence and Mrs Aisi offered a prayer for peace and good leadership in the country of PNG. It ended with sharing of PNG cooked food.
