We Are 150William and Catherine Booth

The Salvation Army, first known as the Christian Mission, began in East London on 2 July 1865, founded by William and Catherine Booth. Today, the international church and charity meets human needs without discrimination in 126 countries worldwide.

From 1-5 July, 15,000 Salvationists and friends from all 126 countries will gather together near the birthplace of The Salvation Army for Boundless 2015, to commemorate the rich heritage of the last 150 years, celebrate the present and innovate for the future.
