The Salvation Army runs a number of different programmes around the world for young people to be involved with during a 'gap year'. Here we list a selection of these. Some last a year, some are shorter term and may form part of a gap year. Please note that the list is non-exhaustive.

Although listed on the International Headquarters website, each programme here is run and operated by individual Salvation Army territories. In all cases, questions and problems should be directed to the Salvation Army territory responsible, contact details for which can be found by following the links. Acceptance onto any programme is not guaranteed and is subject to approval. When travelling overseas, you should check what visa/work permits are required.
