2018 Home League Rallies in India Western Territory Encourage Women to Serve with Compassion
Home league rallies took place in February and March in the India Western Territory, conducted by Commissioner Sumita Masih, Lieut-Colonel Khupchawng and other members of the Territorial Women’s Ministries team. Taking place in all divisions, districts and extension areas of Gujarat and in Maharatra, the leaders were welcomed in a total of 20 locations.
In each place, Lieut-Colonel Ropari gave a response and shared some words of encouragement. Matthew 25:41-46 was shared to explore a theme of ‘Serving God, serving others and serving with compassion’, following the international Women’s Ministries theme for 2018: ‘Mission to Serve’. During final prayers at each event, many came forward to the mercy seat to recommit their lives to God, whilst others accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour for the first time.
Many women testified to God's answering of prayers. In many cases, he had brought healing to sickness, with members of Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Petlad and Anand divisions and from elsewhere telling stories of transformation.
During the rallies, 451 new home league members were enrolled, and funds were raised as those in attendance gave generously. Cultural programmes took place and all women participated with enthusiasm, singing and dancing.
The hope is that home league rallies brought a big revival in the lives of the women. The rallies turned into festivals of joy and fellowship as the women met each other. We thank God Almighty for his grace, guidance and protection. May God bless all the home league members through these rallies!
