May/June 2015

Dear Friends,
We are approaching Pentecost and this issue of the CSLD Newsletter emphasizes the importance and significance of this day in the Christian calendar. Resources from the Australia Southern Territory explore the events of Pentecost and the birth of the Church. There is also an update on Boundless Prayer as the baton passes through the final nine Territories, reach its conclusion, in its present form, at the Boundless Congress.
Those of you who are taking part in the Boundless Bible Reading Challenge will have read a few weeks ago the account in Acts chapter 1 of Christ’s ascension into heaven. Verse 14 really struck me: ‘They all met together continually for prayer’ (NLT). They had heard Christ tell them to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit and had watched as he disappeared into a cloud. So they gathered together to pray. May we too be faithful in our gathering together for prayer. Let us pray that we will see an outpouring of the Holy Spirit over The Salvation Army during the Boundless Congress which will lead to a mighty revival.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to meet with some of you during the Congress, it would be great to see many of you at the 08:30 am prayer meetings. Please make yourselves known to us.
Praying that God will bless you richly.
