July/August 2015

Dear Friends,
The Salvation Army has recently experienced tremendous days of celebration marking its 150 years of existence. Leading up to the Congress our movement was engaged in 365 days of non stop prayer. In this edition, General André Cox shares a message with Salvationists thanking them for their participation in Boundless the Whole World Praying but encouraging us all to continue united in prayer.
During the Congress there were also various opportunities for commitments to be made, some at a place of prayer, through conversations or in personal moments of reflection. Commissioner Winifred Pender's article helps us to reflect on the significance of having a designated location for prayer, such as the mercy seat, but always remembering that the true mercy seat is of the heart.
As we look to the future, we are pleased to share a video resource of the United Kingdom with the Republic Territory. This is the first in a series of Prayer School DVD's to help Salvationist's deepen their knowledge and personal action towards prayer.

May God bless you.
