"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal" - Albert Pike These words of Albert Pike proved to be true in the life of Mrs. Carolina Loresto Codoy OF who was reunited with her Maker (promoted to glory) on June 25, 2007 at the age of 77. Words will never be able to express the impact she had on people's lives. A number of them have become successful in their chosen field as she has helped them and shown them by her good example on how to be the best they can be.
"Being a stalwart in the faith and a model Christian we chose her as one of our ‘ninangs' (wedding sponsor). She has become our encourager, teacher, mother, counselor and a good friend. She will remain an inspiration to us as we continue our battle for the Lord Jesus Christ". - Major Evelyn Alip (Salvation Army Officer now serving in Liberia command with her husband)
"Maam Codoy will always be remembered as a person who helped without any reservation. She inspired me and supported me all the way. I wouldn't be what I am now if not for her. She was a good mother, adviser and mentor. To me, she's a hero. Definitely, she's in heaven right now". - Roy Igot (now a Business Manager)
"I become what I am today because of the help and influence of Maam Codoy. Being a Project Manager of Salvation Army William Booth Family Helper Project under Christian Children's Fund, she used her power and position not to enrich herself and her family but to enrich and empower other people's lives. As a sponsored child and through Maam Codoy's influence, I was totally developed. I can't thank God enough to have known her personally. She was a soldier who was faithful to her Commanding Officers and to the Lord even to her final breath". - Emelie Susan Dellera (now a Teacher)
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant.... enter thou into the joy of thy Lord". Matthew 25:21
