Just in case you haven’t heard of the newly-produced One Army international teaching resource, we’ve have opened a blog to give information and keep you up-to-date on developments. To get straight to the point - there is nothing quite like One Army, to reach and unite the Army world in faith, purpose and fellowship. It’s truly international. We recently met Salvationists from all parts of globe at the Boundless congress in London who already knew about it and were using it. They were unanimous with their enthusiastic comments. Those who hadn’t yet heard of it were amazed that such a resource was free, courtesy of the General.

The 13 themed books, each complete with youth section and a culture feature, are complemented by 13 equivalent films (DVDs). The surprise (and joy) on the faces of non-English speaking delegates to see subtitles in their own language, and the number of book translations already available, was great. Translations are at various stages according to territory, but there are already more than 20 in progress.

Because the series provides clear, basic teaching about the Christian faith and looks at what the Army should be in the 21st century, this resource looks like having a long lifetime. It can be (and is being) updated here on the One Army website and invites participation through social media. Follow @TSAOneArmy on Twitter and 'like' our brand new Facebook page to join in with the conversation.

Its promotion and distribution is largely in the hands of territorial leadership. Each territory or command has received its initial orders. Some now have their own design files – including English – to print more books. The material can be used in all kinds of ways. Just do whatever suits your situation best – corps, centre or personal. Make the most of it. If you have questions – fire away! We’re ready to answer – and listen.
