EDITORIALS

The Kenya East Territory runs a monthly publication called ‘Sauti Ya Vita.' This is a tool of evangelism that is meant to reach the world with the message of Jesus Christ. It follows with The Salvation Army's mission of ministering to a whole person - body, soul and mind, and the commission in Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..."

Sauti Ya Vita reaches over 100,000 readers both locally and internationally, featuring news occurrences of the Army in Kenya, devotions, features and testimonies of what the Lord is doing in people's lives. Sauti Ya Vita is also used as a form of organisational communication tool, whereby messages from the leadership intended for the Army congregation are published. We also published Army policies, advertise products and services, programmes and projects for purposes of informing the Army fraternity the on-goings in the international and local Army.

Accompanying the words are pictures of functions and events of the Army as they occur in corps, commands, at territorial level as well as internationally.

Often time the publication focuses on series that run for a number of months, providing spiritual nourishment and guidance to the readers. At the moment, we are publishing 13,095 copies each month, and foresee growth in this area with the risen interest from our readers.

To fulfil this mission and desire, we have introduced an electronic version of Sauti Ya Vita, for our readers who wish to access the same from this website. However, readers who wish to own a hard copy issue of the same are encouraged to subscribe through the editorial office at Territorial Headquarters. All you will be required to provide are; name, postal address, cheque addressed to The Salvation Army, bearing amount equivalent to the number of issues to be sent and in addition an extra amount to meet the postage fees.
