Boundless Grace

‘All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there was no needy person among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need’ (Acts 4:32-35 NIV).

Salvationist Doctrine 8

‘We believe that we are justified by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and that he that believeth hath the witness in himself.’

William Booth writes the following words in the sixth verse of song 298 in The Song Book of The Salvation Army (SASB):

The tide is now flowing, I’m touching the wave,
I hear the loud call of the mighty to save;
My faith’s growing bolder, delivered I’ll be;
I plunge ’neath the waters, they roll over me.

God has given us many opportunities to share in different ministries. We cannot take that for granted. We must continue to allow God‘s grace to flow through us so that we are pliable vessels for him to use.

God needs people who are willing to surrender all they have to him.

Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray;
I woke; the dungeon flamed with light.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed thee.

(Charles Wesley, SASB 283 v 3)

Will you allow the chains to fall and grace to flow through you?
