Colonel Geanette Seymour is an officer of The Salvation Army Australia Eastern Territory, appointed to the International Social Justice Commission based in New York. Geanette has over 40 years of experience as an officer, and to date her areas of involvement have included Corps, Officer Training, Social Programme and Executive Territorial leadership.
Geanette was the Deputy Director at the International Social Justice Commission from 2007 to 2012 and subsequently the Director.
Being a member of The Salvation Army International Social Justice Commission for the last seven years has provided her the privilege to stand with those who engage for justice which is both humbling and energising. She writes: 'The Lord is good. The opportunities that arise from this appointment are amazing and the best is yet to come. May God be served and honoured through the work of the International Social Justice Commission.'
